"Turns out I’m 'woke.' All along, I thought I was just compassionate, kind, and good at history. "

The amount of money some have spent buying ships is staggering. If gaming ever gets to the point where I have to spend $3K on a virtual item just to play, I'm done.
I look for Star Citizen to eventually be bought. I wouldn't be surprised if Epic or Blizzard bought the IP. Both companies have more money than god, love micrtransactions, and know how to implement netcode.
I like the idea of games like Star Citizen, EVE, and Sea of Thieves where you get to explore and meet other randos. However, I don't want to spend the time playing them. I'd rather spend a couple hours playing a single player game with good narrative and world. Rarely are these Games as a Service fun without friends.

You damn Goons! LOL
I enjoyed playing Eve. If I had more time, I'd get back into it.
