I just got it yesteday and tried it out, seems good and I think it's kewl and all but...
I get sick after playing more than 30 minsutes. I get very dizzy and want to puke...had to stop playing...some of my other friends have the same sickness with games that have to spin a lot.

I've known a fair number of people who have this problem.
Some things that seem to work (basically anything that destroys the immersive experience):
- Playing in a brightly lit room
- Resizing the image on the monitor so there's a substantial black border around the image

plucky duck, I actually got used to it a while back but then I stopped play FPS games...well all types of games for about 6 months or so because I was working most of the time
Now that I started playing games again the sickness is back.
It's funny, never had this problem when I was a little kid, used to play FPS games all the time
I don't have trouble playing Counter-Strike for hours though. And I can play Unreal Tournament for a good 3 hours at LAN parties before I start feeling sick.
FlyingPenguin, yeah I'm gonna try to not play in the dark, I recall not getting the effects with lights on until a little bit later.
I'm curious if it's the colors or because you have to spin and turn quickly a lot in these games. Maybe it's both.
I also recall that I don't get as sick when playing games in OpenGL. Damn you Direct 3D !!!!

it's the immersion effect of losing yourself in the game, similar to seasickness or airsickness in the way it affects you. Basically an inner ear thing. One thing you might try is moving farther away from the monitor. Also, try a small lamp next to the side of the screen to draw the eye away from the center of the monitor occasionally. Also, take small breaks every 15 - 20 minutes away from the game. I've never had the problem, but understand it's pretty common.

Hmm, yeah, this is weird, I've played games ever since I can think and I never experienced this...until: Monster Truck Madness 2. It made me feel really unfomcortable, even sitting back from the PC and watching a frind play made me feel weird. And it kicked in almost immediately...UI thought at first that maybe my old AMD wasn't up to the task and that there was slight stuttering unnoticable to the eye...but after a number of upgrades and on machines more than powerful enough, I still get it with judst this game...very strange...

I use to play MTM2 for hours upon hours. Loved that game. should load it up and go to the Zone and race it again. Been about a year and a half since i last played it. I've never got that sick feeling. Well i have when i've been severly chemically enhanced and i get the spins but not from playing games...lol
