Quake III question 'cause I'm stupid....

If I start a multiplayer game (Internet), how do I get an IP address so others can connect and play. I'm trying to get two of my boys to play, but we couldn't get it to work.

in win98 go to start button->run-->type "winipcfg" (no quotes). Your ip address should be there.
in win2k go to command prompt-->type "ipconfig". your ip address should be there.
