Quake3 Safe mode?

Does any one know the command for starting in safe mode on q3 ..ie 640x480x16

If you screw up big time fiddling with the config file, you can always delete the q3config file or cut it out of the baseq3 directory and restart Quake 3. It'll then build a new one with the default settings.
