Goodwill still takes old TVs, monitors, PCs.

...but yeah, otherwise it's funny that no one wants a perfectly good, working older TV anymore even if it's free. I'm amazed that there are still a few of those TV repair shops still around because who spends money fixing older TVs anymore?

I remember back in the 70's, early 80s when you'd get a second hand 25" console TV with tubes, thinking it was something great and you'ld have to go to a TV repair place to test, buy new tubes so that you'd (hopefully) get a good picture back, assuming the contacts on the channel changer switch weren't too bad....often fixed by smacking the TV LOL.

One of the few tech purchases my wife was ever 100% behind was flat screens. Enough that I got one for both the living room & the bedroom.

went today and got a RCA 32 inch LCD with built in dvd and 4 HDMI . not something i would normally do . buy anything thats all in one . but the picture was the nices I looked at .also the price was fair to . $289.99 plus tax out the door less 4 % cash back by using Ebates. went looked at the unit came back order online 2 hours later picked it up back at the store . im also only 2 blocks from the shop so it was worth the return trip .wife had me going other shops in the time it took to get my email the order was ready for pick up .
i sure do like Ebates those check 4 times a year do add up . and it works for most the places I deal with online and brick and morter. i have also found they dont sell your email info . :)
