This is Tron meets Neuromancer. The book doesn't really take off until they enter the virtual world inside the computer, but until then it's still quite fast paced and will keep you riveted until the REALLY fun stuff begins to happen.

What's nice is that the author sets up pretty strict rules about how things can work inside the virtual world, and then sticks to those limitations. If you liked any of William Gibson's books, you'll like this.
