yup.......went ahead and overclocked it
went from being a 700mhz to being a 945mhz.
there is a lack of fsb settings on the board I am using, so the fsb is at 135 x7 mulitplyer. The system wouldnt stay stable and sometimes wouldnt boot at a 138fsb
so i gained an extra 245mhz on this machine.....think its good as far as OCing the older processors go?

always trying to upstage me, huh greg?
and pred, yeah from what I read, the model I had was one of the better overclocking ones. It had a sB0 stepping on it. But I think the ones made in Costa Rica are the ones able to get closer and pass the ghz mark. Since this one was made in malay.....i think it will get close
but I dont think i will beat the ghz mark unless I used some better cooling and possibly a different mobo

I have the 700 slot 1 with a pair of GW fans that ran its whole life at 133ish with an extra half volt. Great cpu, like the 366 celeron and 450 P2.
Just replaced it with an amd 2400 but still working perfectly and great match with the MSI BX Master mb & the good crucial 7E memory.
The agp was overclocked with the 133fsb but all my vid cards handled it fine. GF 2 & 3, Voodoo 5500 & radeon 8500.

I have a p3 933 coppermine
I've managed to get it up to 1267 with rock solid stability
I can get it to boot up at 1309 but it's pretty unstable
I'm still trying to get the system to run at 1333 which is my goal, but I'm not sure id a 400mhz oc is possible
I think alot of the oc potential of the p3 relies on the mobo you have, my tusl2-c is currently running a fsb of 181
