anybody had any luck with these? seems like the logical way to go because of the 133 bus, but everyone is playing with 700 or 800 - wondering why - you can get a 750 at onvia for ~160 after coupon

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought all "E" chips were 100 Mhz FSB not 133. Anyway it is better to start with a 100 Mhz FSB this give you more room to speed things up. If you start at 133 FSB there is little room to go higher and it is harder to find PCI cards ram and video cards that will work with that high of a buss speed. I think the 750 is actually an "EB" chip with a 133 FSB and not a great over clocker because of it

I have a 750. There is no 750 @ 133, they are all 750 @ 100.

Make sure they are S-code SL462 and you should be good for around 950 mhz.

my fault if i was unclear - i meant a 750 oc'd to 133=1000

my ca2 600 does 840, but the kid's puter (duron700@1000) is making me jealous :)

overclockers.com database shows an average of 950 - the one that make it to a gig are probably cbo or cco

It's a duron. Durons and Celerons OC better. Don't expect any more than 950. She'll still screem, though...

I've got a cB0 750 and can't get it to 1ghz. It'll post and start booting into ME, but locks-up at that point. I'm running it @ 930MHz.

System:
Asus CUSL2
128 Mushkin PC133 (rev 3.0)

you will get miixed answers when asking if the cC0 stepping is much better than the cB0. but let me be just another statistic added to the cC0 preference. I have a P3 700E cC0 that runs rock solid @ 1050 mHz @ default 1.7v Vcore. i've only had it for about a week now, and today i got it up to 1085 mHz @ 1.85v Vcore. it is understood that P3 Es OC better than the EBs due to the greater FSB headroom of the Es. and i think the new stepping makes a significant difference...after all, how many people can OC their CPU by 50% without raising the Vcore above default, let alone do so and call their system stable?

dont get jealous yet...i'm in the process of pushing it higher. but as of now i have hit a wall. i'll have to see what is keeping me from going higher than 1085 mHz. maybe i'll post something about my problem a little later.

I have a P3 750E CB0 running at 1Ghz on an ASUS CUSL2 with a PEP66 on it and 1.9v being pumped into it. I run W2K on it and have had the machine up for weeks at a time and any reboot was self inflicted.
