I was looking at the specs of the SK-800 and it says it's 505 Grams.. That's like.. 1.1 POUNDS, is this correct? The reason I ask is .. I guess I wouldn't want to have a TOWER case with a 1+ lb device weighing against my SOCKET462 that's only held in by solder traces.. Over time, would not the socket "spread" away from the mobo, due to thermal expansion (chip creep?)

Your math is right at 505 grams it is 1.12lbs. Makes you wonder how serious AMD is about saying not to use a heatsink over 300 grams.

hehe...well, they dont include the fan in there 300g idea...so you could hust attach a house box fan to there 300g heatsink. :)
