you have to recconnect the L1 bridges on the cpu - u can do it with a pencil, conductive pen or defroster paint - check anand's or toms for details and pictures - not hard you just need a steady hand and a magnifying glass
New to the T-Birds

Being an old man doesn't mean that I'm new to O/C'ing.
I've been O/C'ing since AMD introduced the 586 board...
but I am new to this T-Bird stuff. I've been reading alot on the chips and finally, last week I purchased my first T-Bird - 900MHz. I'm happy with the chip, but natural curiousity makes me want to take it faster...
I have this chip on an ABIT KT7A-RAID board that has SoftMenuIII. I love the board and it is running real smooth.
I'm confused on the concept of the bridges. To enable total BIOS/SoftMenu control of the chip's clock rate, voltage and FSB, do I need to close all the bridges on the chip?
I want to make sure before I do anything stupid...
Thanks gang...

Intel locks the multiplyer internally (as we all know), AMD on the other hand has external multiplyer connections. Thoes are the L1 bridges that AMD laser cuts. By reconnecting them with something conductive, you now can change the multiplyer in your bios.
Hope that helped.
