WHAT HAPPENED IS THAT I PUT SOO MUCH "AS" THEN i TRIED TO PUT THE HEATSINK GOLIATH OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT , IT WAS TOO BIG AND HEAVY , I COULDNT PUT WELL AND I GUESS AS PREDATOR SAID , THAT WHEN I PUSH HARD THE "AS" SLPIT AL OVER THE CPU AND WELL THAT DID THE REST !
JUST WONDERING IF THE NORMAL GREASE COMPUND COULD DO THE SAME?

Did it break your capslock key too ?

Put on a very thin layer and it will be fine.

all u need is a small bit about the size of a small piece or rice... anymore than that and its total waste and 95% of it gets squished out anyways when the heatsink is put on.... )*

I've only ever static fried ONE AMD chip ever... my TBird 1.4ghz 266fsb

Only one out of maybe 40 AMD chips I've worked with/put HS's on in 2-3years.

Augiz,
Sorry about those troubles.
I suggest using either arctic alumina or arctic ceramique from now on. Both are non-conductive and would not cause the problems you had. Plus both clean up far easier and perform as well too.
