has anyone tried taking an old cpu heatsink/fan and putting on their gpu? =p i want to try it but i dont kno what the risks are..

another thing...should i take my gpu fan off if i have a 130cfm fan blowing at it (in a way so that the front of the fan would be perpendicular to the pci cards)? will the gpu fan interfere w/ the airflow from the big fan?

That might work but it'd block several pci slots. You'd probably need to use thermal adhesive and if it is too large, it may not stay. I'd suggest some of the smaller ones on the market, they aren't too expensive either.

If you mran the fan already cooling the video card, I'd leave it. The other fan shouldn't intefere and more air usually helps.

Welcome to pca :)
