Is there any program that I can use to check the temperature that my cpu is running at from windows and not having to go in to the bios?

It is an award bios mobo.

There are lots of them Mother Board Monitor is probably the most common

also, most mobo manufacturers have them on their website - sometimes easier to use those than configure a generic one
hardware doctor is another common one beside mobo monitor

you just have to find one that supports your chipset and whatever thermistors are present on your mobo

it's always fun to see how efficent cpus are, for instance

p3/600@800 32C add seti 34C
c400 32C add seti 40
k6/2-450 38 50

i was playing with this last nite :)
