carbon paint sounds cool

ok guys, i have a question that maybe someone can answer? so i'm thinking about trying to unlock my multiplier this way: http://www.lostcircuits.com/cpu/amd_unlock/ it looks like a pretty sweet way to do it. the problem is that i need some conductive paint or something. i could go try to find some of that rear-window defroster repair stuff, OR, seeing that i'm working as a grad student in the sciences, there's some "conductive carbon paint" here that is used in our electron microprobe. here's what it consists of:
"a concentrated dispersion of colloidal graphite in isopropyl alcohols, acetone and other ketones, carbon tetrachloride and other chlorinated hydrocarbons, ester, etc. - 20% solids"
like i said, this is basically used to conduct electrons off of samples in our probe (similar to carbon coating, but it's more conductive). so do you guys know if short-unlocking is like an exact science, or does any conductive material do? does it need to have a certain level of conductivity is what i'm asking, and if so, is there any way to test the conductivity of a material before potentially ruining you hardware???
thanks,
-lt
