hi im about to swap mobos
im goin from an asus a7n8x-e to an abit nf-7s

would i need to reinstall windows and reformat, or could i just swap the hdd out and plug it right in since they both run on the same chipset?

any advice appreciated

Most likely you can just swap. Worst case is a repair install and then reinstall any hotfixes or service packs.

A good transfer....I think most of us here are glad that OSU had no money left or else it woulda been him sinking the winning basket against us instead of vice versa. Watch out for the Jackets next year! Returning 4 of the starting 5 and still have most if not all of our depth (lost one big depth guy in Moore). UConn won't be able to handle us without Gordon and Okafor :)

so true bubsy
uconn aint got nada this year!!
ill be watchin for em next year, since they are a killa team

i am however runnin into a bit of a problem

it keeps tryin to install a primary and secondary ide channel after i reboot
games and benchmarks run fine though?
guess a reinstall is long due for this hdd

and another thing i might like to mention...
i thought this old school barton of mine was gonna get a crazy oc with a newer mobo, still stuck at 2.3 ghz
:(

ram does 220 fsb at 2,2,2,5 at 2.9v
memtest stable overnight

guess this hyper x 3000 is bh-5 aft er all?

Did you rerun the nVidia UDP driver install? That may fix your problem.

i have hyperx 3200 in this machine now
i switched the hyper x 3000 to another machine and it works in the other nf7 board?
i dropped the fsb to 166 with laxed timings and it still freezes the system when i play a video!
this is frustrating

i think im just gonna put everything back in the asus board

:(
