the first words that came to my mind were "uh oh". PIII 1Ghz FRIED!!!!! I even had it running stock speed, voltage and everything. There was a alpha on it, which was on there correctly, and with artic silver compound too
do you think intel will RMA it? it was a retail one and only 2 days out of the box.

sethpa, I love your sig. You think you can upgrade my granparents RAM, they have random acess memory and I always tell them they need an upgrade.

hehe, talked em into rma'n it. it's some kind of problem with the Cusl2 and 1ghz and 1.13ghz chips. They do work "sometimes" but there is a risk of it ignoring the set voltage regulator. You can set it to do 1.7v, and it will do what ever the heck it wants

That is a major problem with all electronics these days..... you let that smoke out of the chips, and they stop working!!! I dont understand it...
