Mobile 2400+ vcore ?

Post by dadx2mj »

OK I finally got some decent ram (Ultra PC3200) to go on my A78NX-E along with my 35 watt XP2400+ mobile chip. So far have it up to 11.5x205 with vcore at 1.7. Temps are good under a full load now CPU is running at 38c. So how much vcore has anyone put to these chips without toasting it? All opinions or experiences welcome.

Think I have a mobile 2400 I haven't even put in a system yet. I need to get on it and see what it can do. John told me but I plain got sidetracked and forgot.

Congrats guys :chug

when I was playing with those I remember reading that most did not need more that 1.75 or so for the max overclock. I think that's about as far as I took mine - people were getting to 2400 with 1.6 on the good chips, a little more voltage on the others...I seem to remember some folks getting nice overclocks with fairly low voltage on air with stock hsf

Currently have it up to 11.5x208 for 2400MHz with vcore at 1.725 not too bad for a 1.8MHz chip. Temps are still in low 40's under a full load :D

Nice! :D If it wasn't for the lower cache, nothing could be the TBred B 1700+s I've got 2 of them and they'd both do 2.2g hehe :D I've got a mobile I got off of wvjohn at a friends house doing 13x175 2.275ghz and it's on stock voltage. I'd like to get it back from them and replace it with a barton 2500+ so I can see what it will do in my 8RDA+ It would be smoking to see it at 12.5x200 :D

your in the zone dad, 2300-2400 is about the high average, Ive had mine up to 2700, but that was under 2.2 volts and a wire mod, water cooled of course.
Im now running a a64 stock, and its much faster, but i still use the good ole mobile too, my son uses it alot for gaming
