I write music using various MIDI/Audio host programs (FL Studio, Tracktion2, EnergyXT, etc.). I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight into the new Creative X-Fi cards and their potential as music production tools.

If your just doing MIDI work it would probably be fine, MIDI signals are pretty basic ... its when you get into needing good D/A converters and more I/Os that you really need a better card. Plus the X-Fi cards are pretty good in their own right.
