Lynnfield i5 750 - pretty robust little chip

Post by wvjohn »

I was just fooling around with the oc utility that came with the MB - Gigabyte P55-UD3/8 GB GSkill Ripjaw (4x2)

goes from stock 2.63 ( 1.232v) to 3.150 without a blink, which is where I normally run it - for grins hit the RED button and it rebooted fine at 3.80 - i'm on air and didn't feel like worrying about the temp so I didn't leave it there long but looked viable

Yes they are. I've had hit-n-miss success with the software overclocking utilities, but I hear that the new Sandy Bridge processors almost exclusively need software overclocking.
