hacked my LGA 775 motherboard

so i've been gone for too long again...including not getting back to Losbot many months ago...
i found out that it's possible to hack LGA 775 boards (at least many of them) to work with LGA 771 Xeon cpus. i happened to have both, so i gave it a shot! my trusty old LGA 775 E8400 cpu (which is still darn good for most things i do) is now swapped out and running a Xeon E5440 (quad core) on my Gigabyte EP45-UD3P board.
my wife was enlisted to do the cpu mod, as she has far better coordination than i do! i took care of the motherboard socket mod (cutting the small tabs off to allow the new cpu to fit)
info here on how it's all done: http://www.delidded.com/lga-771-to-775-adapter/
i got the adapters off of eBay (about $1/each)...
a few pics of the process:
