At this point Intel is relying on one thing and one thing only. BRAND NAME recognition. Anybody who knows anything about CPUs knows that they are currently getting their a$$ handed to them in a BIG WAY by AMD. But the general public, who are not for the most part cognizant of that fact, is still seeing those big buck advertising slots with the dopey blue guys in every conceivable hi-buck time slot ( e.g. NCAA Final Four etc.)........don't underestimate the resources for advertising that Intel can throw out there. Nonetheless, the truth IS getting out. Especially with the OEMs who ultimately feed the "Best Buy" type PCs to Joe Average. I even saw where a semi-conductor industry sector analyst was advising that by the end of the year, "people should be OUT of Intel and INTO AMD." That sounds like some sage advice for both PC owners AND investors.
