Heya all,

I am looking for a copy of Win2K. Before you draw your warez guns to blow me away, listen up. The way I understand my school's licensing agreement, I have legal rights to possess and use any Microsoft Windows product or service. I take this to mean that I am allowed to acquire and use as mine copies of Microsoft Windows software created by others. Do you think that I am correct in my logic? I'm looking for opinions here, mostly, but if the general feeling is favorable...I may also be looking for a (burnt) copy of Win2K.

your school probably has a blanket license for the academic versions of ms products, which can be purchased a various discounts, from negligible to very deep, through the school. Ms licenses are of course for original ms products, not copies.

your best shot is to get a an original copy through your academic connection.

of course, we don't even talk about warez on this board.

Well...

If your school has this license, then it should be very easy to obtain a copy from them. Or, as suggested, check out your school's bookstore. You may be surprised.
