Email Problem IE 6 and Norton AV ?

I have a weird problem when I try to email now.
WHen I click on Create mail or after doing so when I click on send My FLOPPY drives starts searching like crazy for a few seconds before the email is sent. wtf?
Never seen that before.
anyone have any ideas? I have Norton anti virus but it still does it if I disable NAV.
I had an earlier post about my shellex.exe file being deleted because of a virus scare.
could that be the cause?
If so does anyone have shellex.exe for WIN ME that they could send me?
Or can I somehow extract just that file from the disc?

Disable the floppy option in Nortons. That is the biggest pain in the you know what. I rarely use a floppy, so I don't let Nortons access the A: drive at all. I hope that helps.
