Installed Windows 2000 proffesional with Serbian CYRILIC regional settings by misstake.

On every start when I have to log on to computer I have SR keyboard and have to change to En - english to enter the password.

It became anoing to change keybord every time I have to log on to computer. Where W 2000 pro. keeps this information and how to change it to english ?

In REGIONAL SETTINGS are two main options that are related to my problem that I have changed:

General
=======
Your locale (location) = English (United States) = DEFAULT

Input locales
=============
EN - English (United States) = DEFAULT

I made this settings for ALL users on the computer (Administrator, Guest, ...) and it works for all users AFTER loging on to Windows, BUT when I try to log on he is still SR (Serbian) keyboard layout and cant except password UNTIL I change keyboard layout with ALT+SHIFT. So I am interested in where he keep this information for BEFORE log in Windows.

I see that he uses own registry settings for every user on computer but cant find where is for default (no user) before log in - on start ???

I think you understand me. First mask for enetering udername and password have SR (serbian language layout) and I have to change it to EN every time and cant make EN default.

Here's how to do it wit a help of F@ncy !!!

http://www.sysopt.com/forum/showthread. ... post615118

**************************************************
Run Regedit

From the HKEY_USERS subtree, go to the following key:

\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload

Change the value for the following entry to contain the keyboard layout that you want to have available at logon.

\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload
"1" REG_SZ = "0409"

(this would be US english)
