Hey all again
I went back to a previous registry backup 'cos things went pear shaped abd everything is dandy again. But I had installed a couple of things in the meantime. So now at startup during the boot sequence I get a message saying that the registry or system.ini is referring to a file which does not exist anymore. Namely gckernel.vxd and msgamio.vxd. All I have to do is press enter to acknowledge and the PC boots up and works perfectly. But I'd like to get rid of this. In system.ini I can't find reference to these files but in the registry I do find the keys. Can I delete them safely or will that mess things up? I believe they are from the installation of a MS Sidewinder FF Joystick but I'm not sure whether other files might also need these entries.
Any tips?
Cheers
