I honestly havent used audio cds in years. Lately I've been craving hearing some of my old music. So I think I'm gonna try to rip a bunch of my old cds to mp3. Does anyone know of any good FREE software for ripping an entire cd? I would sacrifice speed for quality most certainly.

Another option would be CDex > http://www.cdex.n3.net/
or maybe EAC > http://www.exactaudiocopy.org/
Both are also freeware.

I use CDex. It's easy to use and pretty good quality wise as well.

Exact Audio Copy is supposed to be the best.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I still use Audiograbber with the LAME encoder. Works well for me. Then again after I ripped my entire 200 CD collection 6 years ago, I haven't had to do much more than an occasional rip since then.

I'll download CDex and check it out though.

Audiograbber and the LAME 3.97 codec work good for me.
