Here's a nice list of options. This is why I recommend Win10 Pro - you have a lot more control. I use the Group Policy option to allow Win10 to notify me of updates, but not download or install unless I ask for them.

You have far less control with Win10 Home. Only option is the "metered connection" trick, but it only works for Wifi:
