I want to be able to encode the whole album without it ripping the individual tracks , for example i want to rip
Pink Floyds The Wall disks 1 and 2 and have just two large mp3's rather than individual tracks so it becomes continuous like the album itself ?
Does AudioCatalyst or AudioGrabber support this type of ripping ?

audiograbber might. it has options to "delete silence" and you can set the "leading" and "trailing" silence from 0.0s on up by 0.1s increments.

try it set to 0.0s and it should just make one continuous mp3?

I did the EXACT same thing you wanted to do with "THE WALL - LIVE" I just made two big 256-birate MP3's :) What I did was rip them all to a .wav file (which one CD takes up about 600mb) and then I used the program called "wave studio" to but up all the MP3's (delete all the silent parts to make it a continuous MP3) It took a while though, since it was so much information to combine.

There are also some screw ups I didn't notice when I was combining them (combined a couple songs too early) and since they are already converted to .mp3 now, I don't want to put them back to a .wav--fix them--then convert them back to an .mp3. I'd most likely loose some sound quality too.

I had to use AudioGrabber take the two big .wav files (1.03GB total) to a 256-birate MP3. I also had to download something else not included in AudioGrabber to make it a 256-birate MP3. The highest AudioGrabber will go is 128, unless you download this one file, which you can find the site within the "HELP" I believe.

Do you have a cable modem or fast connection? If you do, shoot me an e-mail ;)

i have just found some pretty good software that did the trick very well http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ this software enabled me to extract the whole cd as an image file and then using this http://www.cdex.n3.net/ converted it to mp3 in next to no time :D
