Man, MS really needs to revamp their quality department.

Someday, this update will be used as an example of what not to do as a company.
Keep in mind that the Insiders reported the majority of these bugs. I read on another tech site that they also halted the updates on certain Intel GPUs.
I wish they would stop with the feature updates. Even their own apps don't work that well at times. I was using their photo editor to remove red-eye yesterday. After going through about 40 or so photos, it closes for no reason.

This crap is getting really old.

Somebody in the C suite is head over heels in love with apps, glitz , and any chance to monetize from the OS. As everyone has said, they need to get their heads together and do the OS right. All the extra junk adds nothing for most people.

Seems like the right time for a new OS company to swoop in and replace Windows.

Or for someone to swoop in and replace whomever is in charge of making the decisions on how QA testing is handled at Microsoft.Pugsley wrote:Seems like the right time for a new OS company to swoop in and replace Windows.

It's their testing. They're trying to rush out the feature updates to meet the 6 month deadline. Honestly, they just need to go to once a year.

AAAAND yet again...

Microsoft halts yet another Windows 10 update after Blue Screen of Death errorsMicrosoft’s Windows 10 update woes are continuing, with the company having to halt the recent Windows 10 November 2018 cumulative update (KB4467682) after reports it was causing PCs to crash and display the infamous ‘Blue Screen of Death’.
At first, the errors appeared to only affect the Surface Book 2, Microsoft’s own hardware, which lead to the company halting the update for those devices.
However, Microsoft has now revealed that the problem is more widespread, and it has now pulled the update from all devices.

This is simply bad QC. Microsoft knows the most common hardware configurations. I don't expect them to test every single configuration but it should be tested on their own hardware.

For those running 10, this is a good reason to get the PRO version. I would be pissed as a regular pc user with the Home version if this kept happening. Imagine those that bought a new pc at Best Buy for example, then running back there, because of a faulty software update, when there was nothing wrong with the hardware.
