Windows 11 TPM Requirement? Bypass it in 5 Minutes

Post by Err »

Even though most of us are probably holding off on updating to Windows 11, here's how to bypass the TPM check during installation. The article doesn't mention what problems this may cause down the line.

I've read a bit about windows 11. Aside from the interface that I don't like, there are performance issues in games. I also read that there is a 15% decrease on AMD processors running multicore applications. Maybe a year from now I'll update but for now I want something that just works.

There's an official bypass for incompatible hardware from MS:

The AMD issue is being fixed with a patch and driver updates, but yeah I would give Win11 a year to bake in the oven.

LOL - I waited over 4 years before I moved to 10, even though I did do the upgrade in 2015, but after a reboot, I did not like it and went back to 7. This was only on my laptop to check it out.

Only PC that will get it in my house is my Surface Pro 7. I use that mostly in tablet mode, and there's supposed to be some improvements in that regard. Since it's a recent Microsoft product, it should fully support Win11.

Of course I'll image it first and roll it back if I don't like it.

I'll fire up a VM on my VMWare host to give it a try.
