lets see if I remember them all

all the tomb raiders were 9.99
jet grind was 9.99
shemsu was 19.99
sonic1 was 14.99

Damn sorry there were more...about 8-10 in the 9.99-14.99 and about 5 in the 19.99 range.

Even better:

Wear loose clothes.

Go to the store.

Stick the games in your pocket.

I guess the mod's never used napster....or told anyone about that program either.

Once the $hit comes out the horse there's no turning back.

It is not so much the idea of using napster (or whatever) but the mods don't like people condoning that sorta thing on the boards as it is illegal and could make the board liable as well. However your deep well of understanding is appreciated.

Legally speaking, since these boards are regularly policed, the mods are responsible for what goes on here. Previous court decisions have stated that this is a reality.

Condoning the use of napster and giving step-by-step instructions on how to pirate games are different. If you cannot see that, then sorry. Next time you want to give some advice that is legaly ambiguous, e-mail it or send a PM. This releases PCA from any liability issues.

I am not trying to be an ass, I'm just letting you know so no one gets in trouble.

odd

Post by Donkee »

so breaking copyright laws that protect music and copyright laws that protect software are totally different?

hmm odd...

If you already own a license then you LEGALLY allowed to make backup copies of music

If you already own a license then you LEGALLY allowed to make backup copies of software (including video games)

You can easily make backup copies of music and normal pc software, but you cannot just copy Playstation or dreamcast games. My only way of obtaining backups of my psx and dc games are by downloading them from irc ( is irc too much information?).

I promise not to give out anymore information that could be used illegally, or cause PCA to be held accountable for criminal acts.

just actin a donkee

I am not going to argue with either one of you on this, for policy to be fair it must be stated for all to hear, and no precedence automatically decides the next case, all it does is leave options open to the deciding authority. Just because one case says that moderatorship is liable does not mean the next won't say the board is liable. We do have attornies who visit here and if we need to bounce such questions off of them we can. Thank you for your concern.
