Breaking my silence to tell my friends something

Omax has 256 K-byte ram on sale this week for $25

The good news is that most stores our out of it ... so they are substituting Kingston 256 for the cheapo K-Byte

It gets better thou ... the Kingston ram (and yes it's sdr) has a $13 rebate

It all ends this Saturday thou

JD, sorry the Kingston ram is only being substituted at the stores themselves

It's not an on-line thing. You might want to call your local OfficeMax store before making a special trip just for the ram. My store sold out of both brands yesterday. I've called around in my district and noone else has any left

I tried that last night but the local store still had K-byte memory in stock. I bought a stick anyway and so far it seems to be doing ok, running @133 with the fastest memory settings. I may return it, however, since Best Buy will be selling it next week for $9.99 after mail-in rebate.
