I can highly recommend this game if you're a fan of the Bioshock series or System Shock. It's basically the spiritual successor to System Shock.
My only advise would be to read some suggestions on recommended neuromods to invest it. The first time I played the game, I really didn't pay attention to this my first playthrough and wound up getting stuck at a point where I could get past a particularly powerful enemy.
Second playthough a year later I did my research and finally finished the game.
Although the game has areas that are best crossed stealthily, the game also allows you to run and gun, which is my preferred style. You just have to watch your ammo, especially in the early part of the game. Once you can manufacture your own ammo, it's not so bad.
