the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

That's like the seatbelt alarm toggle on my wife's Lincoln Navigator. I had to lookup this crazy procedure:
There are 9 steps you need to follow to deactivate or activate your Belt Minder system. Before doing so, make sure that:

The parking brake is set.
The truck/car is in Park (automatic), Neutral (manual).
The ignition is OFF.
All doors are closed.
The driver's safety belt is un-buckled.
The parking and headlights are OFF.

Then follow these 9 steps:

Turn the ignition switch to ON, but DO NOT START.
Wait for the safety belt warning light to go OFF(1-2 minutes).

Steps 3-5 MUST be completed within 60 seconds!

Buckle, then un-buckle the driver's safety belt 3 times, ending with the belt un-buckled.
Turn on the headlights, turn off the headlights.
Buckle, then un-buckle the driver's safety belt 3 times, ending with the belt un-buckled.

After step 5, the Safety Belt Warning Light will be turned on for 3 seconds.

Within 7 seconds of the safety belt warning light turning OFF, buckle then un-buckle the safety belt.

This will disable the Belt Minder if it is currently enabled, or enable the Belt Minder if it is currently disabled.

Confirmation of the disabling of the Belt Minder is provided by flashing the safety belt warning light 4 times per seconds for 3 seconds.
Confirmation of the enabling of the Belt Minder is provided by flashing the safety belt warning light 4 times per seconds for 3 seconds, followed by 3 seconds with the safety belt light off, then followed by flashing the safety belt light 4 times per second for 3 seconds again.
After confirmation, the deactivation/activation of the Belt Minder procedure is complete.

Thank god VW isn't retarded like the rest of them. I can just hook up my cable to the obd port and go into whatever settings and just set them. VCDS is great!

That's almost similar to the new key programing procedure on older Lexus's, like late '90s, early '00s.

I think the craziest part is that some engineer designed that. I don't get why they don't make all the options available on the odometer display through a special mode.

Bahahahahaha! You should see the process for reprogramming a new key fob for a Lexus GS....holy crap its near impossible to get right no matter how many times you try...

Older GSs, yes. Not fun and it's really fun when you get a car with a bad door lock actuator (not uncommon when older).

I think the craziest part is that some engineer designed that. I don't get why they don't make all the options available on the odometer display through a special mode.
Some 2015 Lexus cars now have that option for initializing.

With Lexus, Toyota, all you need to do is fill the tires to get the light off unless there's a bad sensor or set to the 2nd tire set by accident.

found out thanks to are government. this is now a requirement on all new car's sold in the states. no wonder cars cost so dam much. :(

I remember when I couldn't get the low tire light to turn off in my Rav4. I had it at the dealer for warranty work and I asked them. Answer : When was the last time you checked the air in your spare tire? ....

I've heard of people taking the sensors, throwing them into a sealed piece of pvc pope with a valve, pressurizing it, and throwing it in the glovebox. I doubt this would work on anything mafe in the last ten years though.

Thank god for ebay.....changed all of my actuator motors already...$12.00+shipping. Im too cheap to buy the entire assembly from Lexus...as if Im rich lol!

The batteries on my pressure sensors on my 07 Camry all died. For a couple of months I got the low pressure warning light (which was not low pressure, just the batteries annoucing their failure one by one), and it finally went out for good. Good riddance. I chevk my tire pressure every couple of weeks anyway. Never have trusted those sensors.

I don't understand why they have to be battery powered. They should use NFC technology, but then the dealer can't make money selling you replacement sensors when the batteries die I guess.
