Galaxy Quest Documentary | Never Surrender

Post by FlyingPenguin »

Another must-see documentary for me. Another one of those one time only theater showings, so if you don't want to wait for the DVD, go here to see if it's playing near you on Nov 26th.

Now available for download in MP4 format for $8:

Wife and I did watch in in the theater and enjoyed the hell out of it. Worth it for 8 bucks.

In the theater they also showed the Honest Trailer for Galaxy Quest, since the guys behind Honest Trailers helped make the documentary:

I wish I was free the day it was released. I'll be grabbing it digitally soon I'm sure.

I want to get my hands on the original, R rated version. Can't stand the dubbed over version.

They never made an R rated version. In the end it was edited that way. Some people have suggested the possibility of a director's cut based on the original script with all the R language and scenes put back in.

I agree, I'd love to see it, but you have to admit the movie is still brilliant edited as a kid's flick.

Everything I read indicates that there is a "Director's Cut" or similar one out there. Fans have been asking for it to be released. It would probably still have a PG rating, with all of like 3 curse words they used. LOL
