Medalia Light
Have any of you ever had this beer? I've only found it down here, PR. It's a very light beer that has a very smooth flavor. You can drink a six pack easy and not get stupid. It's a great social beer.
They also have the budwieser minnies down here, I do love those. They don't get hot very fast, in this heat you have to worry about stuff like that.

Depends on the season/weather.
<B>Pilsners:</B> I got hooked on good pilsners when I visited Austria 2 summers ago. US Pilsners are utter ass in comparison. I like Warstiner (German) and Pilsner Urquell (Czech) because they are good and available at the store near me.
<B>Ales:</B> I got started drinking Bass and Newcastle brown ale in college at LSU. This was before the advent of microbreweries down there, do I really had little choice. Now I almost always get local ales, because this is where US microbrews really shine. Some good small brewing companies in this area are Dock Street, Saranac, Clipper City, Dogfish Head. I also like the Sierra Nevada ales. They make a seasonal called Bigfoot Ale that is really a barley wine and is super hoppy. It is also 9% alcohol hehe. Sam Adams and Pete's both make nice beers too. In my experience the best microbreweries are in N. California and Oregon, but in DE those beers are pretty expensive.
<B>Dark Beers:</B> I don't drink that much dark beer, but I have to agree that Guiness is in a class by itself for stouts. I actually drink more porters than stouts, and I like the Sierra Nevada, the Saranac, and the Yuengling porters quite a bit. I had a Saranac caramel porter from a seasonal 12 pack the other day, and surprisingly it was excellent. I wish I could buy it in 12 packs...
<B>Other notables:</B> I had a Thai beer at a restaurant in Minneapolis the other day (The King and I) called Tsing Ha (I have no idea how to spell it but that is how it sounded) and it was outstanding. I never expected a beer of that quality from Thailand, as I had never even heard of it before. And while most Mexican beers aren't that great IMO, Pacifico Clara and Carta Blanca are both very nice beers. And we can't forget Belgium ales; I have only had a few but they were amazing. Kinda expensive for everyday drinking though
. Maybe I should just go to Belgium and visit the monastaries...

Nitro: you don't drink Abita beer? They were a staple of mine when I was at LSU. The Turbo Dog was on tap at the bar I always went to (the Bayou for bands and shooting pool) and it is a pretty good beer. Also they make a seasonal raspberry wheat that is nice (Purple Haze).
Mac: I have had Pearl beer in TX. Doesn't it have a pictogram (puzzle) on the inside of the cap? If I remember correctly the drinker you get the easier they become

I like budweiser, coors, pretty much whatever is available. Heineken is nasty though. Some of the best beer I ever had was the kind my dad use to make. It was really good, he had a little micro-brewery and everthing!

Decided a few years back (8 or 9) that I've a hard enough time dealing with reality without the influence of alcohol.
Believe me, I consumed more than my share of beer and good blended whiskeys in my earlier days, but I finally figured out that a lot of other liquids taste better and don't screw up your head before, during and after consumption.
Once you stop for awhile and are really honest with yourselves, you'll realize that most beers taste like a blend of fine dishwaters.
I don't miss any of it at all.
Just to insert a different opinion in with all you winos and alcoholics.
PS: my other realization was that most guys drink alcohol because it's a taught "macho" thing. The truth is it's stupid and causes a great deal of harm.

I'm a hophead
As an avid homebrewer I think I've killed my tastebuds with too many hops in my brews. Kinda reminds me of the green bud of my high school years 
That said, my all time favorite is Oregon IPA. It has the best blend of hops that I've ever tasted. Tried many times to replicate and it wasn't until I added a dash of oak chips that I nailed it. Only once though
My "regular" brew is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. No longer really a micro-brew, but damn fine nonetheless.
