2002 Saturn vue trouble
my 2002 Saturn vue just started this Tuesday or wednesday..
Started the car, drove it under a mile, parked, went back into the car and went to start it..it hesitated for a moment and started but seem to run ruff. i get on to the highway and it gets a lack of power, the check engine light is on. I drive it back to the house 1 mile and turn the car off . let it sit for a couple of mins and then try restarting it same problem. friend came over with a engine scanner that plug into the port under the dash . it came up with no reports !

I have had my magnum throw a CEL, once, and not indicate any codes with both my scanner and the on dash diagnostics. Two days later the light went out. It was weird..EvilHorace wrote:If the CELs on, there is a code or more. Get someone to scan it with another scanner.

There are cars that can have codes that only a dealers diagnostic tester can see. Most generic type scan tools only pick up what the manufacturer has to make available by law, but not everything.I have had my magnum throw a CEL, once, and not indicate any codes with both my scanner and the on dash diagnostics
A bad fuel pump won't set a CEL, usually the car will just stall or fail to start.

So, with a bad coil there should have been a misfire code for that cylinder. There wasn't?
Does that car have a t-chain replacement interval? Toyota's don't, when the chain goes on the newer cars it will be a disaster. Cars with t-belts have replacement intervals however but most manufacturers are getting away from those now.
