So I went ahead and loaded it on my 2013 Nexus 7. Really liking it a lot. Feels much snappier than 4.4.4 did overall. I also do like the new Material design look.
Coincidentally updated my macbook to Yosemite today and the flat colorful look is pretty similar. I know thats oriented to iOS 8 integration, but happy coincidence.
Now to wait and see who does a port for my S3 and see how that goes.

What about app compatibility? I tend not to update for a while so I don't break apps. I don't have a lot of them, but the ones I have I need.
