FS: HP OmniBook 6000 *LOADED*

Post by Judg3 »

The job hunt isn't going so good (Anyone need an enterprise systems and application management expert dealing with Windows and HP OPenview in an Enterpirse (1500+) server datacenter?) so I have to sell my baby.

Up on the block right now: HP OmniBook 6000
NO dead pixels!
CPU: 1Ghz Mobile Pentium 3
Memory: 384 MB
Display: 15in SXGA+ TFT @ 1400x1050 Res
Video: ATI Mobility M1 2x AGP w/ 8MB VRam
HDD: Toshiba 30Gb
Modules: Both a 20x CD-RW & an 8x DVD-R (2 seperate modules) & FDD with external or internal connections
Ports: USB, Serial, IrDA, PS/1, Headphone out, Mac in, Docking connector
Communications: Integrated 3Com 56Kbps modem and 10/100 LAN
PC Card: 1 Type III or 2 Type II.
*BONUS*: I'm also throwing in a 3com 11mbps wireless LAN card
Battery: 8cell li-ion
OS: Windows 2000 Professional
Weight: 5.2lbs
This laptop is currently running Win2l Advanced Server, but will be restored to factory defaults. Comes with all cables, manuals & media. There is no laptop bag, as my backpack had a built-in laptop area. THis is guaranteed not DOA

This is about as top of the line as you can get with HP. This is more then a laptop, it could be a desktop replacement and I have had nary a problem with it since the day I got it. It's used of course, but the only sign of wear is a slight scratch on the bottom of it.

I'm selling it for $1350 or will consider money + trades or trades for some of the following:

4port KVM with cables
80GB+ 7200 RPM HDD's
High Quality Digital Camera
300-500Mhz complete system (Need a new Domain Controller so it has to be able to run Win2k Server)
An older 200-300mhz laptop
guitar + amp
A used car in nice condition (Chicago/SE Wisconsin area only - well ok, NW Inidiana too is suppose)
Anything else you can suggest..

*sigh* I'm actually pretty hard pressed to sell this and feel like seeing if I can't stick it out for awhile - but everyday I wait this baby depreciates. Good for you, bad for me. If you where to buy this exact laptop from HP configured that way I have it it would cost you over 3700$, so I'm giving it away at 1/2 that. I don't have a lot of HeatWare evals, but my name and address have been verified by both PayPal and SquareTrade. I'm somewhat hesitant on sending this first unless you have a lot of positive evals.

How about if I drop the price to $1349.50? Any takers? I'd prefer to sell her to a good home here then put her in front of the savages on Ebay, but if I must *sigh*

Hrmm, Ill need to think about it as I really need at least $800 or the little woman while scream bloddy murder. I have to decided either way in about a week so I can let you know (trying to delay it as much as possible so I can find a job, then I can trade the whole thing away :) )
