WOW that is news. I heard a few things throught the rumor mill about it but I guess it is a reality now. I just traded a Geforce2 for a Voodoo5 so it looks like I still have an Nvidia product hehe. :)

Looks like the war is over. Nvidia won, just hope they still stay as good as they were going and priced don't skyrocket.

I can only imagine a lot of people at 3DFX are eating humble pie or have been sacked after all the stuff they put out bashing Nvidia. Must be bad to have a company you were badmouthing take you over...

Kinda funny though, and yes I'm worried about rising prices too we don't want a Microshaft in the GFX business.

maybe Nvidia can take the best of both cards and work them together? if they do they'll come out with a $750 N30 Gayforce 4 GTSSE 128mb card. ugh. I still cant believe they have the "ultra" what a rip. This is only going to make them beable to charge larger amounts for cards.

Long live ATI and Matrox.....

*just announced* see <a href="http://www.pcabusers.net">here</a>

"Nvidia, on the heels of their aquisition of 3dfx has announced the video card for the "true" next generation of gomers. The "GeeWiz 007" will incorporate glide support and everything else on the market. Even the ability to "SLI" it somewhow to take more of your moola.

Specs include 256mb real fast ram, video in, out and under, remote control(not sure what for though), DVD support(*you must supply dvd software or hardware) and the ability to instantly fry it if it makes you mad. That way you can get another to help Nvidia pay off their bills. All this for only $899! If you get the SLI version then add another $1199 (*needs another mobo too). *please note :s oftware will be stable when we get around to it. thank you all for your loyal support :)
