This has been a very hard year but upon reflectling on it, there are so many things I have to be thankfull for. With some people, you have to lose everything you have to appreciate what you did have. I don't want to get to that point. I do appreciate what I have. Anyways, I want to have a litte contest to help others in need. The prize is an Asus P2B-VT motherboard with integrated NVIDIA TNT video. It is a slot one mobo and has work very stable. I will also toss in some NVIDIA goodies. This contest is simple. There are two requirements to this. The first one is very importmant.

For the first requirement, you must promise that you will donate a toy to the Toys for Tots program if there is one nearby where you live. It could be any toy. I am not sure if it is to late for Toys for Tots. If it is, then the other option is that the next time you see a Salvation Army collection basket, you will donate at least $5. Promis to do either one, and you will satisfy the first requirement.

For the second requirement (sorry for copying nexus), guess how many DVD's I own. I gave a bunch away to my dad so it isn't as much as I may have told some people. The closest one wins. I will announce the winner tomorrow night. You don't need to make the donation by tomorrow night, just promise you will do it within the next week.

A couple of things I forgot to mention. Please include in your post that you promise you will donate to either Toys for Tots or Salvation Army. Also, I am sorry but this contest is only for people in the US (maybe Canada although I don't know how donation part will work out there). Lastly, no editing your own posts.

Hey we got Salvation Army over here in Canada also :) Just gave 'em a 20 last week while I was shopping @ Polo. So it ain't a problem for me making donations.

As for shipping, I'd be willing to pickup on the tabs if you're willing to send! That is, of course, if I do win :)

I think that it is a good thing that you are doing here and I was planning on giving to the toys for tots anyways. Don't need a prize to get into the Christmas spirit. My guess is about 37 dvd's.

Already gave to toys for tots, I think....actually it may have a blue or brown santa, hell I can't remember. I hope that counts. Somebody IS going to get some books though (I hope they're not disappointed). :D

55 DVDs

toys for tots is great. my local post office has a christmas tree where kids can write their christmas wishes on little stars and people can take the stars and buy presents and give them to the post office for distribution. Some of them were pretty heartwarming, one kid wanted a pair of gloves for his dad who was always cold when he went to work in the morning. i got him a nice pair of gloves and a portable cd player.

i'm guessing 51 dvds.
