Difficult Position.....Please read.

Post by Zak33 »

Some of you will remember ChrisU.K from this forum board. He has asked me to post on this forum to tell people about a few problems he has had.

I would like very much to print out a page of replies and then show him.

Chris has had a major breakdown, and is in hospital. I have been in contact with him for over 2 years, but only had the pleasure of meeting him once. We are best friends, no doubt. Sadly I have been unable to help him with a lot of what has happened.

Cos he loves this Forum board he has Texted me from outside the hospital ward, and asked that I tell you all what a rough time he has had. I am not sure if its gonna be the best thing to do, but I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I shall do as he asks and see the response. I hope he/I don't regret it one day.

To remind you a bit this was one of his threads
http://www.pcabusers.net/forums/showthr ... adid=17046

some of you were kind enough to reply.

Chris is a TOP PC ABUSER.....He has scared the life outta more CPU's and Vid cards than I dare to think of. :-)

He got ill last year. Chris is a full time carer for his disabled wife. That took all his time except for his PC Abuse! Sadly it all got too much and he started to hurt his silly arse self.Self injury is a problem, he found it helped. I thought he was getting better! He met a new girl, who he fell for, although sadly she turned out to be a Heroin addict, and her brother was a nutter. She started stealing from Chris and his Wife.
Chris lived next door to his Mum, in Sheffield (UK). Then she died! His life got worse by a long shot. He moved his heroin addled girlfriend in to his Mums old house to ween her off. He wanted to sell me some PC stuff to get money together. I sent him quite a bit or money, and his new bird injected it!
He lost the plot, hurt himself more, and escaped to London to stay with his sister. She gave him some money to rent a house nearer to her (and me). I had never met him personally but we are good friends. Without his email etc it was hard to understand his situation. Txt is difficult to deal with.

He came to see me for a very brief few hours. We are mates. It was nice to meet him. He went back up to Sheffield to sort his life out.

His heroin addled girlfriend had unlocked his house AND his mums house, and her brother had stripped them. Its all gone.

He got help from Social services. He has hurt himself before quite bad, but it got too much last week.
Silly idiot shot himself in the stomach with a high power air rifle after trying to over-dose on some Anti Depressants. Hind sight? http://www.pcabusers.net/forums/showthr ... adid=17829

I have had some harrowing texts in the middle of the night.......poor sod, he is now in hospital and waiting to see if they can put him in a mental ward. He wants help but it doesn't seem to work like that.

I dunno why he wants me to do this but he does. So I have. As and when he gets out, I hope this wasn't his mistake.
Cheers for reading. If you wanna post a get well please do, and Iwill print it out and get it to him.

He's a hard bugger. He needs to get through. If any of the long termers here who have dealt with him (Saturn you still around?) fancy spending a few cents on a Text to him I can forward his Mobile number by email to ya. He is in and outta that ward to check texts from me. Be a nice suprise for him.

Cheers people...sorry it was so lengthy! :-(

I SMS messaged him to say you four top blokes had left feedback wishing him well already, and that he made Front Page on PC Abusers!

He's on pills so his text response is a little jumbled, but hey here goes: (by the way he is in Barnsley hospital) this is word for word!
"its getting out of hand all this. I wish I could thank them. Dont know if Barnsley has a net cafe. All this has made me sad at times but I am very happy as well. Let them know i will be back but it is gonna take months for me to get a pc. Life is a bitch cos memorys of what that tatty old 3 switch beige (colour) box meant to me. I may get upset tonight but thats a good thing. like the net we eventually met and ppl we never meet care :-)"

Most of that means stuff to me, even if its a bit disjointed.

Days, weeks, months, it doesn't matter how long it takes to get well, as long as you get well. Remember, we are a family here and family helps it's brothers and sisters in need....even if the help is in the form of words of encouragement.

Hope in time you get better and come back to post.

Best wishes,
Dan

Hey Chris get well soon and take it easy. Depressions a serious thing, i've been there and done that and it is no fun by any means... Just take it a day at a time. I've always found the best thing to do is get away from whatever is bothing you... For a week or so clear your heard and come back to conquer it... For me i retreat the mountains go camping for a week just by myself... Amazed at how nice it is to not have anyone around and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Hey Chris,

I've never met or talked to you but I somehow feel compelled to utter words of encoragement to you. I can tell from your actions that you know what you have done goes against your own morals and values. I am sure that you have many medications and such they can help but you need to focus on what is important to you and obviously through your actions getting better is. You don't owe me any favours but I am going to ask one of you. Take five minutes of each day, everyday and find something you are thankful for something that is special to you, it could be as simple as seeing a rose in full bloom, watching a young child having fun at a local park, it doesn't matter what it is just that it is important to you. There are so many wonderous events that go on everyday that we take for granted don't let them slip away from you. I hope you find the peace that you are searching for and I hope to hear about it here.

Best Wishes,

Trevor

Hey Chris :)

Although we never really talked I do know you as a fine person just by the way you have conducted yourself here at PCA. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you for good health and happiness ... I'm sure you deserve it :)

Chris,

I'm not a wiseman or anything, but I can tell you what something that I've learned from personal experience:

Face your fears and do your best to fight them.

You don't fail when something goes wrong, you fail when you lose hope and give up.

And if you think about giving up, remember that we, actual loved ones in your life and members of PCA, care for you and want you to keep finding that brighter day ahead of you.

I can tell you're already a strong person, stronger than even normal people who simply don't want to deal with their issues, and can only get stronger if you keep trying.

Peace out,

Paul :)
