I believe it's human nature to be more affectionate/compationate to those which we find attractive, such as a cute cat or a puppy dog. And to asnwer your question, yes it would bother me beacuse in our culture we don't eat cats. On the other hand, to those that find cows sacred would probably be horrified to see me chow down a nice home made burger...

thanks for answering my question
i wonder how people would react to rabbits
who are seen as both pets and food
i dont believe i would be bothered by that unless they tortured it like the cat
then i would pull out the .303

I was raised showing quarter horses. We have always had a few dogs, cats and horses. I am also an animal lover and hate to hear about things like this.
When i was younger, i took in sick or hurt birds, rabbits and possoms
... Most lived but it is so hard to get a "wild" animal to live out of the wild.
Also, my wife and i got a 2 week old cocker spaniel...We had to bottle feed him every 3 to 4 hours..just like having another kid and not to mention the price of the formula... 5 bucks a can... and he could suck it up....
Now this may be strange to some of you but i enjoy the sport of hunting. I hunt Turkey, Deer, Dove and Quail. I do it as a sport and never torture.
At a private scool in S.C. that i attended in grade school, The guys there would bring anything from rabbit to duck to eat and it wasn't too bad..
Thats my opinion......
Born Americans dont eat kittens unless your sick in the head.....

Unfortunately it's not totally uncommon for some misadjusted young teen males to do cruel things to defenseless animals, not just cats either. I've heard kids talking about similar things many years ago, when I was a kid so I know it's nothing new. I also don't really understand it. Then there's groups like devil worshippers who sacrifice cats in their act.
As a result of things like this, many who sell kittens try to screen those who want one. When we bought ours about 4 yrs ago, the woman sorta interviewed us and watched how we reacted to the kittens before letting us buy one.

I'm sure all of you know how I feel about Ass4oles like that!
I'm for the "eye for an eye" punishment on those jerks! Let's roast them over some hot coals and see how they feel after that! Bastards, this world is full of em! On another note this is onother confirmation of my theory that at least 90% of America is STUPID! Jackass is popular and adolecents roast kittens for the fun of it.

My theory has always been that 1/10th of one percent of the entire population of the world are sick bastards.
This was manageable when the entire population of the planet was, say, around 100 million.
The population of the world is now 6.2 BILLION. That makes for a lot of sick bastards on the loose.
You know, most boys go through a minor animal torture phase when they're young - it's normal (drown or torture bugs & lizards, etc). This quickly passes because normal people have EMPATHY and a concience.
Anyone who makes it to their 20's and is still torturing animals is essentially a wanna-be serial killer who's still working up the nerve to try it on real people, in my opinion.

I would love to be the dictator for a week or so. As you can tell by my handle, I don't put up with this kind of crap, and I have no tolerance for want-a-be's. If you don't believe me, ask VidmanII because he had a contest to see who had the best method for killing Bin Landen. Guess who won - me!

ummm...
I must side with the American Indians on this one...
You should only kill something if you intend to eat it.
So... I would only kill a kitten if I was hungry.
But, I also think this applies to a lot of things...
If you're going to kill someone close to you in a fit of rage... you should
have to eat them too.
I think this would cut down on a lot of crimes, and make the justice
system much more manageable.
And... cut back on foodstamps.
