Wow Mike, I am so sorry for what's happened. My mom's here visiting from California the past 4 days ironically and I can't imagine what I'd feel like with that happening to her. Whatever you need, if there is anything I can do - please ask.

Time may help your mom accept what she's lost, but also what she gained. God has spared her life for a reason and he has a plan for her, obviously this was not the time for her to go. My prayers and my family's prayers are with you and your family Mike - stay strong and just be there for your mom and stepdad, it's the best thing you can do.

Thanks again everyone. :)

Yesterday they learned my Mom had a fracture of her lower neck but today they learn she also has a broken collarbone. But it isn't too bad. It did add to making her sadder though.

Been wanting to go back to the hospital but they keep saying she may be released so I had to wait. Now we hear the earliest she'll be released is thursday so we are going back in the morning. It's just around a 3 hour drive.

*Update*

Took Mom and step dad home last Friday and have been just plain real busy helping to take care of them. Spent most nights at their home and days too so when I was home here, I was too beat to do much online. So if you've emailed me and I haven't replied yet, soon I'll be back to normal. I hope.

Both are doing better and better. Mom is still upset about losing her eye and how she'll look. Some of her bruises still look bad, her broken collarbone hurts her the most and the doc gave her a brace to wear and that helps. Looks like another 2-3 weeks and they'll remove the cast on her and his broken wrist. They both broke their left wrist.

Thanks again everyone for your kind words and for caring. You ARE the best! :)

Mike, haven't been around PCA much lately, so didn't know about your family tragedy. Sorry to hear about it and wishing your folks all the best and they get better soon.

Still rooting for you at PCA, do what you have to do... we'll hold up the fort while you take care of business. Stop by when you can and let us know how you and your folks are doing.

Mike,

I've been gone for a couple of months... and I'm really sorry to come back and hear this.

You and your family will be in my prayers.

:(

Mike,
I am so sorry to hear what you have been going through ....... it hurts more if something like this happens to people close to us. Both my bro. and my mom have almost lost their lives to illness ( which they kept hidden from us till they got cured ).

Just keep the belief in life and be with them. Right now that's what they need much more than medicines.

Abhijit.
