Heatsinks...

Post by Genix »

I need to get a heatsink for my AMD Athlon XP 1600+. I am not really into this area and I need some of your help! Heh. I was looking at this one but I am not sure. I want one that is good and will keep the cpu cool, but that is also a good price. Thanks in advance.

Thats the exaict one i was going to reccomend. i Have one installed on my computer and i am at 95 full load!!! even teh one W/O the heat pipes kept my cpu at 105. I would teccomend geting the one with the quieter fan... this one sounds like a steam turbine.

The quieter one

I would probably get eithor the thermalright ax7 or sk7 both support an 80mm fan. so you get more air for less noise.
