Yes at times it is great. I have been here for 14 years. I have varying responsibilities. I spec out many workstation and desktop and laptop systems (working on sub notebooks and tablet pc's), I compile a yearly test equipment list and buy all the company test equipment. I take care of ESD and calibration issues (over 1500 pieces that I am personally responsible for). I oversee about 8 engineering labs. I conceptualize develop new ideas for new systems. I work in the advanced programs area and am allowed some latitude on working with new concepts. I do some field testing and demonstrations. I work some trade shows for marketing purposes. Basically a lot of everything, I do manage to get in a round or two of golf each week but I also get to put in 60hrs+.
