wheres a good lanparty?

PCKLAN.com is having their next lanparty JAN 4, 2003 and would really enjoy it if you would attend.
They rented the Dottie Lynn Recreation Center located in Arlington, TX for the event. It is easy to get to and is close to fry's electronics.

The Lanparty will start at 7pm on Jan4 and last until 7am the following day (a whole 12 hours of nonstop gaming!). There are free drinks and we will have pizza delivered during the event.

Some major games we will be playing are: Battlefield 1942, Unreal Tournament 2003, Jedi Knight, Counter Strike, Warcraft 3 and Quake 3.

The attendance price is a small $10 and further information is on our website.

This is the only lanparty I know that has all there 24 port SMC switches uplinked at 2000mbps full duplex to the backbone switch. Allowing everyone to connect at 100mbps and not experience any lag while playing games or transfering files. Overkill, yes!

Linux is on all servers too.

i would love to go to that lan in chicago............but i think my work schedule will be conflicting

maybe I will stop by after work or something to see how things are.

what time on friday till what time on sat?
maybe I could stop by with my system (provided there is still a seat availible)

That might be a problem for us... that and having a lan at a church? do they know what goes on at a LAN? I mean were "killing" each other over and over. doesent sound like LANs and Church would mix too well.

they are a very conservative church
they believe that violent games create charactor
besides half of us are armed
