I got my Ak35gt2 back yesterday. Rma at newegg was fast!

I sent the board in last Friday, Got the new one back this friday.

It works too!

All I installed was and old AGP video card, cpu, ram. and the power switch. Booted right up first time just as it should!

Sytem temp shows to be 27C and CPU temp is right at 5-6C higher at Idle. Room temp is only 23C right now though. That is with the retail heat sink running stock XP1700 at idle. I did scrape off the wax pad and use Artic silver.

Looks the same to me, but this new board came in a different colored box. I think the one I sent in was silver and said Space walker on it, this one is Red and Black box and Says Shuttle mainboard.
Cd is different too!

Don't care about that but It did make me wonder if I got a newer or older version? They have both New and Refurbed listed on the site now.

Also the new price seems to have gone up, I think it is $85 now instead of the $78.
Still a Kt333 board.

As far as what was wrong with my other one I will never know, but I did notice that when I locked the lever for the CPU it felt more secure! Like a little bump as the socket slid shut then a little more tension.
Geuss it could have been a socket problem in the other one maybe? All the same parts I am using now were tried in the other board the exact same config as now.

Did not look like the wax pad was meted to the CPU when I cleaned it, so that's probably what was wrong. No power to the CPU?

Anyway it works now! So on to more essembly and see what I can do with it!
