Anyone playing Rainbow Six: Raven Shield?

Post by FlyingPenguin »

Would like to hear opinions. I'm only interested in your opinion about multiplayer. The single player game in no way interests me.

I never liked the mechanics of the other Clancy games, but this looks better - FINALLY you can see your weapon.

Of major importance to me is how crouched movement works:

Can you crouch and walk freely (granted I assume you move slower)?

Is there a prone position and if so can you crawl while prone?

I've never liked his games but whats with you and not liking single player?? some of these games out right now single player just kicks ass!! MP gets boring after a whiel running around and shooting dumbasses online :D Check out Delta Force Black Hawk Down... MP and SP in it are great. Nothing like grabbin' the .50 cal and going out 500m and doing some spinin' and the best part is they don't have a clue where its coming from cause your so far out lol

Sorry but single player will NEVER be as enjoyable as multi. HalfLife was the last game I could stand to play all the way throuhg in single player.

MOHAA came close, but after a while the AI becomes predictable.

Nothing is as enjoyable as going up against real people. Yeah, sometimes you get a server full of losers but sometimes you also get on a server full of mature people and everything gels.

I've been enjoying HL Tour of Duty (Vietnam sim). Few people know about it and the server I play on is VERY strict. Just cussing will get you perm banned.

Nice bunch of folks and a damn good gaming experience.

Yes you can crawl while prone and freely walk while crouched but slower.

And Tour of Duty is a fun mod, I've seen you on the =DirtyDozen= server before.

If you like Tour of Duty check out Vietcong. I just started playing this haven't tried multi yet but single play is awesome! One of the first Vietnam based games i've really seen that was worth a damn.

Is it a mod or a stand alone game?

Its a standalone game was just released last week. Its hard as hell in single player cause you have to deal with a ton of boobie traps... trip wires spike pits and many other boobie traps and some are damn hard to spot... so far its a slower paced game and when the fight is on its on...

Ravenshield is a very good but hard game!
I mostly play on sof2 and it makes a good change! There are already some real good players out there a couple of weeks after release, these guys must never sleep just practice lol.
9/10 very good game
