Aerocool Deep Impact AMD Cooler XP3000+

Looks like it could be the muts nuts and doesnt seem to take up as much space as some other coolers.
Oh yeah would the slk-800 or slk-900 fit on my gigabyte ga-7vaxp mobo. I can't see any mounting
holes around my CPU so I'm thinking not.
thx brainz2002

yeah, I got that motherboard too..(ultra version, but its still the same)
sadly there are no mounting holes, so you gotta find a good heatsink with with 3 prongs
as far as that heatsink goes......i dunno, it looks a little to high/topheavy to me. it is 400grams. But while the ThermalRight AX-7 (which is what I am using) is at 430grams, it is lower to the processor
as far as the slk800u adn 900u.......no, they wont fit cause of lack of mounting holes
the 600, 700 and 800 (non-U model) could be used cuase they have a 3 prong clip. But check before getting them to make sure there are no capacters and other crap in the way. If you have a 60mm fan, hold it over the processor/socket, That way you get an idea of the base of the 600, 700, 800 and the room you got in that mobo

Gone for good. But never say never
that looks like a heat pipe design? if so it should work pretty good if its standing up like that. if its sideways (like in every tower) it probbly wont perform as well.

thats an expensize puppy, if a thermalright will not fit, have you taken a look at the latest offerings from zalman?
